Welcome to Photography Through My Lens and My Eyes

Hello friends my name is Kevin and I am a lover of photography, a student of photography, and a guy trying to learn about art, as it might apply to my chosen genre. I am not an expert in anything. I would like to say except myself but that probably isn't even the case! I am not here to teach anyone how to be a photographer, but only to give you an idea how I see things.

I have always had a love of photography but I lost it for many years. Life in my younger years was consumed with things that you shouldn't consume in large quantities! My parents assumed that I would one day go to school to become a professional photographer. They said my photos were different, that I saw things differently than others.

Addictions consumed me before I could develop anything in my life, let alone the knowledge and technical skills needed in photography. I was able to clean that up at a young age, but by then I had lost the desire to pick up a camera regularly. With this new clean life, my family grew, and life was all about providing for my children, being a son, a husband, a friend, and a father.

Skip ahead many years and here I am living in Northern British Columbia, quite a bit older, with a camera in hand again. I finally found my passion, the thing that brings me joy and a sense of fulfilment. Something that is consistent, that I never tire of doing. Something that I strive to learn more about each day

I would like to share with you, my thoughts around how I see things, how I interpret the beauty of BC, my home province of Ontario and points beyond, wherever my camera and I travel. It's only my perspective, and like I said, I am not an expert! Hopefully we will learn together and help one another on this photographic journey!
